1: Version system
- As the Code has been approved to V8 we must continue with this approach and not use any incremental number i.e. 8.1.1 (The Lion Code is only V8)
Version numbering
We are currently on version 8.0 of the Code of Practice. A ‘Major’ release would start a new version number (9). Which requires full approval.
So subsequent updates to the current ‘Major’ V8 version will follow this approach:
- V8 – 31.02.24
- V8 – 08.04.24
The V will always be V8 and then a dash plus the date of issue i.e. “11.04.24”
All subsequent updates must have a date which is after the previous update, otherwise any changes will not be auditable in a date line.
